Welcome to the LA MCSD Study Group Information Site.  Here is a little background as well as some other general information that will be helpful.

The LA MCSD Study Group initiative came about when Microsoft offered to supply MS Press study books to study group participants if groups were organized by the local .NET User Groups.  The offering has now changed to training kits on CD from the Microsoft eLibrary along with testing vouchers good for 50% off on the exams. 

The LA User Groups organized through the fall of 2004 and were able to get the initiative off the ground in January 2005.  The LA MCSD Study Group had its kick-off meeting on January 22nd of 2005.  The group is now 4 subgroups (San Fernando Valley, South Bay, Cerritos, and San Gabriel Valley).  Each subgroup meets weekly or bi-weekly generally on Saturdays. 

The general schedule is to study for each certification exam over a 12-week period of time with week 13 slated for taking the certification exams.
